OKC Thunder forward Kevin Durant is switching up his representation. The 24-year-old phenom has left his agency, Landmark Sports, and is expected to join Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports. The internet set aflutter with the news when the tweet below was published by Sports Business Journal.
Although nothing has been confirmed at this time, sources say Durant more than likely will sign with Hov, as he has the “cool factor” and ability to truly build and market brands from consumer products, to entertainers, and now, athletes.
In the short two months since its inception, Roc Nation Sports currently represents New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano, New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith, and Tulsa Shock guard Skylar Diggins.
