The NY Daily Times recently snapped a few photos of the filming of the highly-anticipated Anchorman sequel in NYC, and spotted amongst Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate on set is one rapper who already has his acting chops rooted, Drake. Looks like the once wheel-chair-bound actor will join the ranks of Kanye, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Harrison Ford, Sacha Baron Cohen, Liam Neeson, Nicole Kidman, Jim Carrey and the rest of the original cast.
A shirtless Drake was spotted poolside at a hotel in Miami, Florida on Thursday afternoon (May 16). The 26 year-old, who was in town shooting the “No New Friends” music video with DJ Khaled and Rick Ross, opted to lose his black tank and soak up some rays with a few friends.
He was also spotted showing off his Calvin Klein undies and getting some digits from a blonde hair chick who was trying to holla at him. The life of a celeb..

Mannie, who recently offered his two cents to ‘Shit announcing the Big Tymers were returning with Lil Wayne and Drake instead), is reciting the hook to “Still Fly” and doing the Texas Two-Step in his grave… SHAKE UPDATE: I’m still shaking my at this whole situation. Not because of my obvious distaste for one Bryan Williams but for the simple fact you can’t just replace half a group and still hold onto the name. Drizzy has officially announced the fourth annual October’s Very Own Fest, which will be a two-day festival this time around, along with this year’s headliners. Frank Ocean and James Blake are set to take the stage at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, Canada on August 4 with Drake headlining Day 2 of the festival on August 5 with special guests. Tickets go on sale through Live Nation at Friday, May 24 at 10 am EST with prices starting at $49.50.

During today’s episode of RapFix Live, Sway got Mannie Fresh on Skype to speak on Shit’s plan of bringing the Big Tymers name back with Lil Wayne and Drake instead of himself. The response? There is no Big Tymers without Mannie Fresh.
Drake is a great artist. Wayne is a great artist. But they aren’t Big Tymers. It’s like doing a Jackson 5 album with Boyz II Men.

Kelly Rowland’s newest single created a buzz-fest Wednesday morning. The track “Dirty Laundry” released on the internet revealed some shocking details about her private life. The former Destiny’s Child member exposed the resentment over Beyonce’s success, whom she calls her sister.
The R&B singer also sat with Billboard to discuss the emotions behind recording for her fourth solo album.

Chris Brown is making sure the memory of Aaliyah lives on — or at least we sure hope that’s the reason.
The R&B crooner announced Tuesday (May 14) at the BET Awards press conference that his next single would feat the late Aaliyah. Brown’s next single, “They Don’t Know” is said to include never-before-heard vocals from the singer who died in a plane crash in 2001.
The song, featured on Chris’ sixth album X which drops July 16, also has a video to go along with it. “I shot it in the ‘hood. I went to 60th Street and Cedar Block,” he told reporters regarding the video shoot out in LA this past weekend.
We also hear the talented and creative Brown was in on the editing of the video. Guess he has one up on rival, Drake, who also plans on using Aaliyah’s vocals in a posthumous album.
Everyone has been buzzing since the hologram of Tupac debuted at Coachella last year. While there were mixed reactions of the virtual recreation of the late rapper, more holograms have been put in the works. This time around Ol’ Dirty Bastard of Wu-Tang Clan and Eazy-E of N.W.A will take the stage at Rock the Bell. The families of both artist are seemingly excited and fully support the idea.
ODB’s mother was introduced to her son’s hologram and was amazed:
‘Last night was the first time I saw it, and to me, it was so wonderful to stand by him again,’ she told Rolling Stone. ‘I don’t know how I’m going to react — they’ll have to carry me off. But I think it’s amazing. I want to sing with it.’
Widow of Eazy-E, Tomica Wright, was also happy about her late husband being on stage again. And since the Coachella debut TLC also look forward to bringing Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes back. The Grammy Award winning group, set to perform live this summer after over a decade are thinking of bringing the virtual Left Eye with them.

One of the more interesting quotes came from Lil Wayne’s pops as he stated that Big Tymers now consists of Wayne, Drake and himself. Before Lil Wayne and the rest of YMCMB make an appearance on MTV’s RapFix Live tomorrow, Lil Wayne reveals that while Tha Carter V will be his final album, there are plenty of things to expect before then. Of those options, Wayne notes that he and ‘Shit might be teaming up again for a sequel to Like Father Like Son and that the Big Tymers (‘Shit x Mannie Fresh) may return to music with Drake added to the mix.
“There should be a lot in between there,” Wayne told MTV News of what will come between now and his final LP. “It’s no time soon.
“Possibility of that, possibility of a Big Tymers album, adding Drake,” Weezy said. “But that kid is so busy, it’s all kind of possibilities.”
I’m sure plenty of details will be revealed tomorrow. We’ll just have to wait and see.
